Webhook

Stripe sends signed webhook events to your server. We verify the signature, route each event type (payment_intent.succeeded, invoice.paid, customer.subscription.deleted), and update your database.

Does Stripe work for Indian businesses?

Yes, Stripe is available in India. Indian businesses can accept international payments in 135+ currencies and receive payouts in INR. For domestic-only businesses, Razorpay may be more cost-effective due to UPI support.

Can you set up Stripe Connect for my marketplace?

Yes. We configure the complete Connect flow: seller onboarding (Express or Custom accounts), KYC verification, payment splitting, platform fee deduction, and automated payouts. This is one of our most requested setups.

How does subscription billing work?

We create Products and Prices in Stripe, then use the Billing API to manage subscriptions. Customers can upgrade/downgrade (prorated), pause, or cancel. Failed payments are retried automatically (Smart Retries). The customer portal handles self-service changes.

What happens if a payment fails?

Stripe's Smart Retries automatically attempt the charge again at optimal times. We also handle the invoice.payment_failed webhook to send dunning emails, restrict access if needed, and ultimately cancel after configurable retry attempts.

Can I accept payments in multiple currencies?

Yes. Stripe auto-converts based on the customer's card country, or you can explicitly charge in a specific currency. Our integration supports dynamic currency selection at checkout time.
